DEPHA maintains an archive of GIS data for public distribution.
This information has been compiled from a wide variety of
sources. Always refer to metadata for complete information
regarding authoritative source and appropriate use. It is
the responsibility of the user and the authoritative source
to ensure data integrity.
GIS data are categorized as regional, country or local.
Regional datasets have been edited for continuity across
country boundaries and are more general in content. Country
datasets have been compiled for an individual country and
are generally more detailed and recently updated. Local
datasets are generally the most detailed and pertain to
a specific geography within a country.
All vector
information is stored as a shapefile and can be downloaded.
The raster data are generally stored as .tif or .img files
and must be requested on dvd due to the large data volumes.
